Brand new motor I got a week ago on my backwater, When i first got it the electric start worked for 3-4 times, now it doesnt do anything, pull start still works. Battery is charged and everything else obvious is in order. I did notice that the white wire coming out of the ignition isnt connected to anything unlike the other 4 or 5 wires. I dont see anything that the wire wire could connect to. Am i missing something? |

I don't believe that white wire is supposed to connect to anything. The plug on the back of your ignition switch may have come loose Sent from my LG-TP260 using Tapatalk |

I think everyone needs a powerprobe. Is the white wire positive or ground or open? |

Between the two posts on the starter solenoid, is there a connection for that white wire? The solenoid needs a signal that you turned the key to engage. I'm guessing it's that white wire. #CFFITR #TheGhostBoat #whoneedsphysicsihaveamudmotor |

turns out it was the tilt switch, the motor has to be so high for the electric start to work.. |
