Mud Buddy Mag45 Issues
Someone help me! lol
I recently purchased a Mud Buddy Mag 45 this summer. The first day I took it out on my 1752, with 2 guys we were running 37-38 MPH. Last week when I went out with the same load, the boat wouldn't plane out. It's hitting max RPMS on the trailer, well it sounds like it is (no tach). But as soon as I drop the prop in the water it has no power. The RPM's do not change, but the speed and power is gone.
What I have done so far, with all recommendations from Mud Buddy Service Department.
1. New fuel lines from tank to motor including filter 2. Carbs clean, including all the jets 3. Checked fuel pump for enough pressure 4. Belt tension to check for slipping 5. Spark Plugs
I'm at a lost with this motor. I have been messing with it for months and I have no clue what to try next. Any help is appreciated.

Re: Mud Buddy Mag45 Issues
UPDATE:
Coil is good. Spark Plug Wires are good, no cuts
Motor will hit the rev limiter if the prop is above the water, but bog down to nothing once a load is put on it. I usually run about 38-40 in my boat with two guys and now I am running 10-15 with two guys. This is going on three weeks of trouble shooting.
ANY HELP IS APPRECIATED>

Get a tach and a leakdown.

Re: Mud Buddy Mag45 Issues
In your first post you say rpms do not change??? This would mean motor is revving but clutch is slipping? How bout a vid?

Re: Mud Buddy Mag45 Issues
So, may seem simple, but have you completely emptied and cleaned fuel tank, and put fresh fuel in it? Water in the gas can cause that exact issue. Also, do a compression test, leakdown, and get a tach.
