Hey guys I’m new to the mud motor scene and I’m looking into getting a swamp runner kit with 13hp predator motor from local harbor freight store. Does anyone know if/how to get a title on the motor since it does not come with MOS or a VIN number? For people not from Texas, the boat, motor and trailer all have to to be titled. Any information helps! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

You don't need a title. I'm in TX. They will title a motor, but you don't really need it. You need a title for the boat and trailer for registration purposes, but you won't ever need it for a motor. |

Why are you wanting a title anyway? You don’t need one at all |

Don't mess with any of that bro, get your boat and get it registered so you have you paperwork on your boat and don't worry about the motor. |

If you want a title, go get one. The state will take your money if you want to give it to them. I’ve gone through the home built process on a boat and it’s relatively painless. The state doesn’t really care what it looks like, they just want your money. Gw walks around, slaps a couple stickers on it, and then sends you back inside where the clerk asks for a check. I’m just saying you won’t ever really need it for anything. |
