Best Exhaust?
Whats the best exhaust out there?
I'm trying to find which exhaust will give me the most performance gains but still being as quiet as possible.
BPS Q? BPS Crossover? MAC? Marshmellow? Just gut my stock? Voodoo?

Best Exhaust?
Exhaust in itself doesn't really do much for gains. You likely won't feel a difference. Get whatever you think looks or sounds the best

Re: Best Exhaust?
If you are looking for the quietest exhaust you will probably give up a little performance. It depends on what is most important to you. I do know a BPS Q is much quieter than a Crossover.

Re: Best Exhaust?
The baffled voodoo is definitely way louder than a Q. I loved my Voodoo but I had to get rid of it to save my hearing and because my woman was bitching every time we took the boat out

Re: Best Exhaust?
I recently got my hands on a 3 year old Q that the flanges and head pipe to muffler had cracks so bad it wasn't worth anything. I cut it apart to see what was in it compared to stock mufflers I had gutted, I would guess it would flow twice or better of what a stock would. I think I chunked it in scrap pile after looking in it. but if I get a chance I will see if it is still there if so I will try to take some pics and post.

Re: Best Exhaust?
I've built and sold about twenty sets of flanges, for the guys who what to build their own duals. They have been using several different styles of after market lawn mower mufflers. Some sold by Briggs and the others by Arnold mufflers. Said they work pretty good with stock motors. And they are cheap to replace, and don't crack.

Screw on home made duals and a paper thin toy boat, everyone come jump on the bandwagon!!!

Re: Best Exhaust?
Keep it up guys, everytime I post a picture I get an order or an inquiry, not everyone has $100 for a stock muffler or $500 for a fancy fragile performance pipe. They aren't pretty but they work. Its still just a lawnmower motor. At 70 yrs old I've learned to value the dollar, unlike some of the folks on here.

Re: Best Exhaust?
voodoo is a nice exhaust but very loud. if possible find someone close that has one to hear it yourself.
also, if your doing heads and carb your going to love your gains regardless of the exhaust you buy. if I'm not mistaken the Q had a price drop, at least thats what i was told.
