Posting for a friend:

New coils, new spark plugs both sparking. Bypass kill switch no change. Cleaned carb, .005 valve clearance. 190 compression and passed leak down. Rods are straight.

Any ideas?

Check the diodes that connect to the coils.

If it's cylinder #1 I've seen the the vacuum fuel pumps leak fuel into the pump signal line flooding the num1 cylinder

He says his engine doesn't have diodes connected to the coils on his engine and if you're standing behind the boat it's the right side not working

That would be cylinder number 2. That eliminates the possibility of the fuel pump. Next I would remove cowling and inspect the intake gasket going to the head. Gasket may be popped.

Turned out to be a bad oil sensor

Problem was just in the carb setup. It's alive and running good now

Found that I am having the same problem. Right side standing behind the motor doesnt appear to be firing. What did you find in the carb setup that created the problem? I found mine not firing when trying to adjust the idle. I cannot get the motor to idle properly at all.

When it came in I noticed a idle fuel screw broken off in carb. Set valves, it passed a leakdown . I got the broken screw out and freshened up carb. Ran good after that
