What is the deal with the briggs and the SS valves. As far as I know, everyone who is running a Kawasaki that is modded, is still running stock valves. Are the stock briggs valves that shitty? Has anyone had one break? reason I ask, I pulled a friends set of heads, stock valves and springs. Hes asked me to help him out. So we ported the heads, decked .050", I lapped the stock valves and back cut them. I didn't shim the stock springs, but could (don't know where to get the shims). Hes just looking for a little more juice. Fired up without a hitch. So my question is what is the big issues with the briggs SS valves? Are they bigger which would require you to recut the valve seat. Are they that much stronger, like I mentioned I ran stock valves in my kawi as well as many others turning 4800+ rpms. |

They're a 1 piece valve. No weld to fail. #CFFITR #TheGhostBoat #whoneedsphysicsihaveamudmotor |

Factory valves for factory repairs, anything performance gets bigger SS valves for durability and they allow for a better valvejob which makes more power |

I'm tearing into this Sport V and just trying to get all this shit correct before I try to even mount the engine back for a test run. |

Hell call you back in about 50-100 hours when his exhaust valve breaks and puts a hole in the piston and spits it out the exhaust... Need a piston, rod, and head.. All for saving 30 dollars per valve. Also lapping valves may help seal, BUT a 3-4 angle valve job ALONE will increase performance. |

I was told that these were Manley, one piece, stainless steel valves installed in my motor. |

that sucks!!! I use my motor more than most on here, so I run whatever is on a stock motor and will do that until warranty is over or I get a different engine. mods are for high rollers like you fine gentlemens!!!! |

That is a delta head I can tell by the deshroud shape. Ive personally seen 1 Manley fail. Its a fluke...If it were another issue it would be way more apparent.. |

So I'm assuming the delta heads and other kinds don't do that very often? |
