man I have been out of the loop on these briggs since my 07' non-cdi engines. Took the sump off this "free" sport V 44 just to see what all BPS shit may have been inside. Bone stock, which was good because now i can do my own thing. First thing I noticed was the new pin next to the oil ports. The older blocks didn't have. The next thing I noticed was no dowels in the sump. Did briggs change that with the newer cdi engines? The older blocks had them and this cdi block (both block and sump) are machined for dowels, yet they aren't there.
