Post Prodrive 32?
Have the opportunity to purchase a 16' prodrive rig with a 32hp prodrive motor with 300 hours. Motor is stock except for a new gen 4 lower unit. Have researched a ton just never owned a mud motor. Looking for opinions on this motors quality, how much is it worth(motor), mod recommendations if purchased?

It's the same block as the 35/36/37/40, etc. Just a short stroke version. Same mods that work on the 36's work on these (other than rods and pistons unless you swap cranks too).

They're built just as shitty as any other briggs. They leak and crack in the same places.

We had a few different 32 powerheads, they respond well to mods. They were runners. With headwork, exhaust, carb, and cam, they easily ran 30+ light on a HEAVY boat. Get outta the hole quickly.

Also, the 32 is a non-cdi block meaning it does't have the 4300 or 4750 coils to limit revs. If you do decide to put a mikuni or any other aftermarket carb, you will be bypassing the governor and it will spin to the moon. So just remember, if you do that, your hand is the governor. It will keep rev'n until you let off throttle.
