I just received a BPS Q that I ordered a few weeks back. It took a while because they were on backorder. I got the first of the new ones. Turns out they are no longer black chrome. They are plated with some unknown coating. I called to ask them what it was and they did not know. They did not even know that they were going to change. I'm disappointed in the new look. I'm sure they perform the same. I just like the black chrome look. It does concern me that they do not know what they are coated with. Who knows if the coating will hold up over time? 20190223_094405.jpg |

I just spoke with Travis from Backwater performance. He was able to find out what the new coating is on the muffler. The coating is ceramic. It is supposed to be an upgrade from the stainless. Both will be available in the future. |
