Price for a new 40hp Briggs......
Does anyone know the approximate cost for a new Briggs 40hp Vertical shaft. I have a Stage 2 35hp that runs like a top but am curious on the cost of just the motor. Like no extras, just unbolt the old one and bolt on a new 40. I have looked for about 30 mins and everywhere I go it is telling me to find a dealer. I just want to see what they cost at the end of the day.
TIA

For the vert I would holler at Prodrive. They are doing pretty good on the price. I would expect to have around 4K in it

Got one shipped to north Texas from Mudbuddy two months ago, it was $3300 plus shipping. Total cost ended up being $3,500.

PD is selling them a little less than full retail. I listed the full price according to briggs MSRP

Re: Price for a new 40hp Briggs......
Also, is there anything that I should be aware of when swapping powerheads? I want to literally remove the existing one and bolt up the new one. Shaft spline/ bolt pattern/shaft length.....just a couple that come to mind. My motor is a 2011 Gen 2 lower 35HP.
Thanks

Not sure if anyone else caught this, but you say you are looking for a vertical, but then say you have a 35.
A 35 is not vertical.
What frame do you need a motor for?

Re: Price for a new 40hp Briggs......
Guy that bought my rig took it to PD and they removed the 36 and did the 40 install for him. Want to say it was a $5k investment for him.
