I'm looking to relocate my fuel tanks to the front of the boat, but before I run 20ft of line, how well do these 40 efi ful pumps pull through a 3/8 fuel line? I'll post a pic of how I plan to run it, but itll be roughly 20ft of total line with an abrupt 9" rise from tank to gunnels then 14ft run to the motor. Pics to follow. Support your troops. My tank is run up front my 18 foot crawfish skiff with no problems at all running a 40 eft bro |

Length is not as much an issue as diameter - smaller is better - use 1/4" line instead.... |

I'll never run smaller fuel line than the size of the fuel pump inlet and outlet. My carb is 5/16, fuel pump is 5/16, 1/4 has to run faster through the line. Same concept as plumbing your house. The feed line shouldn't be smaller than the lines in your house. You're actually forcing the fuel pump to work harder. #CFFITR #GhostBoat #Whoneedsphysicsihaveamudmotor |

Agree with Russ. Buzz, my 40 is modded, tank up front and 5/16" line all the way. Probably 20-25' total with no issues. I'd say 16-21' feet between pump and tank. |

Put a bulb, then the lift pump will do its job. Hell the pulse pumps pull 25' no problem |

Well I'm going to try it, thanks all for the feedback I wont be doing anything until after this weekend. Walleye tournament on the Bay of Quinte in Ontario. I will be the only mudmotor on the water - guaranteed. But I also make a point of never messing with something that is currently working before needing to use the boat. I run approx. 25' of 5/16'' fuel line on my 40 briggs. no problems. |

I always put a bulb to make it easier to prime, and if that lift pump fails you can keep fuel in the fuel pump module with the bulb. |
