Post subject:  09 Prodrive issues

I have an 09 36hp pro drive that I just replaced the clutch, sump gasket , and flywheel fan on after it shattered because the clutch gave out on me, I went to crank it the other day and it’s turning over but not firing, the spark plugs have sparks, I tried cranking it without the deodes, and I can smell gas but it still won’t fire at all, any guesses to the problem? Thanks in advance

If he's getting spark, it's not the kill switch. He also mentioned unplugging the diodes, which removes the kill switch from the circuit.

What could be past the plugs? I know its getting gas to it, could it be anything to do with the cam?

Replaced the sump gasket as in you had the block apart? If so, did you mess with the cam and get it out of timing? Same thing with fan shroud, did you mess with the flywheel and get it out of timing?

Yes the more I think about it the cam is probably out of line, any tips on getting this to line up? are their pre set line up marks on the cam? would this make it not fire?

If it is out of timing, you will have to take it back apart, yes there are divet marks that must line up, yes it will not fire if not timed properly.

If it's too far out of timing, you could have smashed up your valves too.
