Looking at swapping out 27 hp Kohler to a big block. What options are there that will mount up? Do they have same bolt pattern? Any other considerations? Thanks in advance |

Yes, should be the same bolt pattern. May have to make the bolt holes bigger but im not 100%. Just be sure you get the correct output shaft on the 36. |

Swapped out my kohler for the kawasaki FX1000V last year and dont regret it one bit. The kawasaki has a lot of power. Bolt pattern was the same, just had to drill the holes out as the kawasaki mounts with 3/8 bolts. Only thing you have to figure out is the exhaust and throttle which isnt bad at all. If you have any questions get a hold of banded-mallard he knows a lot about these motors and helped me out a lot. Sent from my SM-G892A using Tapatalk |

I have a 25 Kohler efi on my prodrive now and a used 36 engine from a prodrive thinking bout swapping . What y’all think bout going from a efi to a carb motor ? That’s really only hold up dealing with it in winter time hunting. Just looking for opinions |

West Tn not like gets extreme cold like way up north . I know had carbed ones long time , figure the extra power from big block be a plus anyway over the efi Kohler . Least can get a lot more aftermarket parts also don’t plan I running stock motor anyway when I swap it |
