Can anyone here tell me how the throttle plate on the Kohlers is supposed to work in regards to the choke plate? The more you adjust the high idle screw it will cause the choke to close at higher RPMs. Is this a built in limiter? Right now im set about 4300 RPMS OOW, and around 1400-1500 idle out of water. Ive got the high idle screw set to damn near the max it can go before moving the choke plate and causing the choke to move. I see where guys have turned them up to 4400-4600 rpms and dont see how they managed to do that without the choke plate moving?
I notice the choke linkage rod has some adjustment in the screw fitting that the knob attaches to? I am damn near to the max my throttle plate can travel but pry have another 1/4" to gain which is also what the choke plate can travel.
