 throttle issues
Hey, I've read just about every thread I can find related to the issue i'm having and I'm hoping someone here can help out. I bought a 35hp mudbuddy longtail and I can't get the RPM's to remain consistent or reach anything close to 4200. I took the tach off my 23hp go devil and i've also ordered a new one to eliminate that as a potential issue. it looks like whoever had this motor before me added an extra spring on the throttle arm but if I remove this the rpm's are erratic and the throttle arm wont return closed (i have a return spring installed as well).
When the motor is running, the throttle wont hold wide open. When the motor is not running I can fully open and close the carb but once running there seems to be some pressure holding it from opening all the way. I'm not sure if this spring is causing the issue or if there might be something else. I can get more pictures or information if needed.
Thanks in advance
