I went test drive one during the week and ended up ordering one this morning. Anyone have any experience with it? Sent from my SM-G892A using Tapatalk |

You getting electric trim or manual? I’m thinking about getting one myself. |

It's not the horsepower, everyone thinks 3 more hp than the 37 can't be much. The profile of the cam adds a lot more torque. Where the 35-37 peaks hp and starts to flatten out, the 40 is still climbing. The hp is rated at 3600rpm. I don't know the true hp but it's probably close to 50 when you're at 4800-4900rpm. It's a much bigger jump than just 3 hp. |

It was put on a dyno without an exhaust and popped 47 hp. With a stock exhaust it would prob be somewhere around 42, I'm guessing. Dont remember the rpms, but I dont think it was as high as 4900. #CFFITR #GhostBoat #Whoneedsphysicsihaveamudmotor |

Best part is power is in mid-range not just top end... FNR frame is pretty cool too... |

I've been with gtr since 2011, once I seen how well built the GDSD FNR is I knew I had to switch over. Its built 100 times better. I haven't seen how they perform in the veggies in south la but I'll find out soon Sent from my SM-G892A using Tapatalk |

It has no power in mud or veggies. Reverse is good only in open water, Doesnt run worth a shit with a load. It drives amazing though. Like a outboard. It's on a 1648 prodrive hull Sent from my SM-G892A using Tapatalk |

Now that you’ve had it a while what do you think ? How strong is the reverse? I have a 18x48 GD surface drive hull with a Prodrive and I’m thinking of going with the 40 FNR. I live near Warren so service is real convenient. I like the power of the 40 and throttle response of EFI. I have an older stage 2 PD carb and I’m ready for something new . |
