Post Bolting governor hole question
I have a 1/2 13 tap that I'm going to use to thread the hole for the governor. It seems to be about the correct size. My question is, besides loctite should I use some RTV at the shoulder of the bolt? Also, is there anything else I should know?

No need to tap it, most just put a bolt through it with a nut and lock washer or nylon lock nut and washer with rvt. But, it you going to tap, yes, just rvt sealant should work.

I've seen it both ways. I figured tapping it would prevent the risk (although slight) of the nut getting loose.

Just cut the flipper off the shaft and stick the shaft back in.

Make sure you take the governor gear out of the inside of the block when you’re in there.

I just left the paddle shaft with the keeper clips inside and out. Cut the paddle off so it's a straight shaft and pull the governor stuff out of the inside of the engine. Been working fine on my time bomb.

Pull it. You'll notice when you have it apart the gov gear and the weights just pop right off with a bit of pressure. Maybe use a screwdriver to pry it off.

There we go. It is off. It faught it and faught it and then all of a sudden slid off with ease.

I saw a video on line where it lifted off pretty easy, but mine took a little bit more effort. Not being familiar with it I didn't want to force it.

If it’s a 35 but no mikuni, be prepared to put on an additional spring that didn’t come on the stock carb and throttle assembly.
