What kind of RPMS should i run max with the motor in question. Its also stock.

Stock governor should limit it to around 4100 I believe. I’d stick with that if you don’t do any head work or spring shimming.

If you bypass the governor and have shimmed springs and one piece valves you can safely turn more.

My stock GDSD 23 hp runs strongest at 3800-3900. Had a 23hp longtail that ran good around 3700.

I got my high RPMs around 4000 only thing I am questioning no is my low RPM's at idle out of water they are 1900 seems really high. I can manually pull the governor out and i will drop to about 800. Anyone have any ideas? and yes idle screw was turned out all the way.
