50HP Prodrive
Heard Prodrive supposed to be coming out with a 50hp. Fact or fiction?

Re: 50HP Prodrive
It was just hearsay. They didn't give me the engine manufacturer. I just assumed it was a Briggs/Vanguard.

Re: 50HP Prodrive
I’m waiting on instant reverse also. Just sold my 13 PD and plan on buying a new one this fall. I did speak with PD last week. They said it was being released this fall but I have been hearing that for about three years. Also said they would have hex shaft. I’m not sure if the motors have hex shaft right now or if that will be released with the reverse. I asked about a 50hp engine and they knew nothing about that but could just be keeping it a secret. I’m not sure.

Re: 50HP Prodrive
I heard about getting rid of the clutch and adding the gear box also. I heard this from a service center not PD.
Well I hope something happens cause I got to buy another motor this fall but it’s if it all comes together it sounds like this may be a pretty good setup.

Re: 50HP Prodrive
If you like a prodrive, buy one and send it to jeremiah. You will outperform any new “50” hp set up and it will be even more reliable. My opinion

Re: 50HP Prodrive
The gen 4 PD has a 1” hex shaft. I bought one November. 50hp and reverse, not so much.
