hey guys here a picture of my MB Mini in the back of my 1448 jon. After looking at my brothers Gator trax w/ MB35 and my buddies Excel w/ MB37. I noticed that the bottom of the belt housing is much closer to the bottom of the boat than mine. I do have to run my motor trimmed farther down than the do when running. I also have an huge issue with running a hunt load ( 3 guys and a dog) it will NOT get up on plane and the prop washes or cavatate? The motor will just rev to no end and the boat will hardy move. I'am also wondering if gearing is an issue? 1448 jon Tall transom MB mini with a mod 23. 39hp- 4500 rmp Gearing 34/50 12.25X10-Big Blade 25 mph decoys,dog and my big ass 300lbs 10 mph if I am lucky with more than just me,dog and decoys |

what is the overall length of your belt housing? |

3 guys and a dog would be an issue in a 1448 even if you had the proper transom height for that motor. |

Definitely a short transom motor on a tall transom boat. |

Just measured the drive assembly from gearbox to the end of the shaft is 24". The bottom of the belt housing is 6" + from the bottom of the boat when the drive assembly is level |

Something else I just realized after our phone conversation- if the belt from this invoice fits, you definitely have the correct belt housing. |
