35gtr mods
So I currently have a stock 35gtr on an 1854 and want to give the motor a little help. Was thinking heads, carb and exhaust I just don’t know which order I should do it. I don’t have the cash to drop on a full stage one at once. Can I go just heads and exhaust or do I need to do the mikuni before I have the heads done? What kind of improvement would I see with just exhaust and carb. Also I’d prefer a quieter exhaust, could I just use an exhaust from a stock 40? If not I’m thinking about getting a q.

35gtr mods
Plenty of information out there on this.
Do heads first. I don’t think exhausts are worth the cost, so for the same or less money, I’d throw in a cam, then maybe consider a mikuni if it still isn’t doing what you want.
I have a Q—- not a noticeable performance difference over stock but maybe a hair quieter. I wouldn’t spend the money on it until your exhaust has issues.

Re: 35gtr mods
I was under the impression that i had to upgrade the exhaust in order to do the heads

Re: 35gtr mods
Same modded engine you will notice a difference, but unless you're doing cam as well, a stock exhaust will be fine. If you can find a take off exhaust from a 40 (ive picked up a couple for less than 100), it'll be all you'd need. The carb will be better money spent than the exhaust after heads.
