GTR 25 Subaru

3570rpm neutral out of the water
Governor adjusted all the way counter clock wise per the instructions in the manual.

If I adjust the governor halfway or all the way clockwise it bounces at 4100 idling and the throttle plate nor the governor arm move when applying throttle.

Is the governor rod worn out? Or maybe the gear? Are parts even available?

Is it normal to be able to pull the governor rod up and down 1/8” or so?

Is the throttle plate fully closed at idle? Had a case where the throttle plate was stuck open. Just a thought.

I’ll check tonight. But everything operates 100% normal with the gov adjusted counter clockwise. I think I’m going to unhook the gov and see what she does??
