09 is non cdi. There are 2 yellow wires and 1 red coming out of the regulator (above the starter on your engine) for non-cdi. Cdi has 4 yellow and 1 red. #CFFITR #mudmotor>physics |

Side note. Cdi engines are available in 20 and 50 amp charging systems. I agree that your 09 is gonna be a non cdi |
