Granted all mud motor (the big names) manufacturers run the Briggs Vanguard big block on their flagship models. Have any of you all replaced a big block briggs power head with the big block kohler commands? I’ve seen a backwater with a 38hp once. Kohlers IMO seem more reliable. I'm doing the opposite. I blew up my 40 HP Kohler Mud Buddy HD Sport and plan to replace it with a Vanguard. The Kohller was a good engine but you can't find any modded parts and I had trouble finding a shop who would work on it. |
