2018 Mud Buddy 4400 HDR Meltdown
A buddy of mine had a hotspot on his motor show up today. Checking valve lash and happened to stumble across it. Never acted up on water just seen it while working on it. No idea ehen it happened. 124 hours, always stored inside. Anyone else have his issue? Any ideas as to what caused it? Will it happen again?

Yep. Bad regulator. The box with the yellow wires and one red going into it. That's what takes the ac current produced by the alternator and turns it into dc to keep the battery charged. There was a small period where some bad ones went out the door on engines, casued 2 total engine loss fires that I know of. There's a video somewhere of one of them (home security cams caught it in the driveway). Tell him to get a new regulator and fix his wiring and he should be g2g. Replace whatever melted/got damaged.
