Post Throttle cable help
Bought a new vanguard 35 carb marine motor.
The governor idle springs are not there. The main governor spring is there. I thought the other 2 were missing from the factory. I’m being told that they are not needed? I can’t wrap my head around not having a return spring on the throttle cable.

Anyone else go down this road?

Yes I did a while back. Same issue.

I ordered replacements from jacks small engines or one of those. Big difference once I put them on.

of course u can use extra springs but its not required. as soon as the engine starts the mechanical governer in engine will pull the carb and your throttle to idle

I went ahead and ordered the springs from jacks. If I end up not needing them then no big deal.

Thanks guys

They are different colors I believe - trying to find a picture of them installed as they can
each fit where the other goes....

Giga,
That’s the pic I have saved from my search here too. I searched my model number on b&s and got the spring part numbers. Should be good to go now.

Thanks man!
