BoatDr puts Amsoil in every motor- swears by it. I use Mobile 1 and I used it from the first time I fired it up on the new motor too, not sure about why people 'break in' with another oil. |

Wait for T-mac to chime in. I'm sure he can post a pic of the stuff you need to use in that fine piece of craftsmanship. |

Like Poker said, wait at least 50 hours before switching to synthetic. |

I always used mobil 10w 30 until the last time I opened my engine to try another cam. When I got the engine apart I wasnt happy with how dirty the inside was. I decided to try some premium blue 15w40 since I have so much of it. I figured if it was good for my cummins it was good for this lawn mower enigine. It seemed to smooth the engine out and its staying clear longer. Im not telling everyone to go dump 15w40 in their engines, Im just sharing this with everyone. I also know a few people that run the amsoil and they seem to like it. But then again and most people say, OIL IS OIL. |

I run 20-50 Amsoil in the GTR, 15-40 Amsoil in the Power Stroke and 10-30 in the wife's SUV. Got 22,000 miles on the last oil change for the PS. Had the oil tested and it was still good. I also run the bi-pass filter on the truck as well. |
