i ran 2 different MB 3 blades with mixed results.
1 did okay for what you may encounter during a normal fishing day and the other comletely sucked. It totally flattened out after 4k RPM's. Niether did well in the mud. They both did fairly decent in the veggies and worked well in reverse.

The one I have seems to be ok in the veggies and clean water. It is stamped 12.3X9. Turned up to 4500 at 35-36mph. It held my 1852 Extreme on step at 2400-2500 rpms. It does take some power to turn it. I am runnning it with my 31HP Stage III.

I watched QuackKiller08 change his prop on his MB like 5x one day he was going back and forth between the 3 blade & 2 blade. He ended up running the 2 blade for the rest of the day... Might want to shoot him a PM and get his take on the two. He tested them in some nasty stuff!

ran a 12.3X9 with same results as drake1.

last one i tried was a 12.25x12. could turn it well over 4k but there was no point cause it just blew out. i think the best speed was around 29mph @ de 4 thousand mark. put in on another stage 1 GTR wit de same results. i think prop was purpose built for a stock motor!

Looking at buying the three balde prop from BPS for my 23 hp GDSD. With basically a stock motor, will I have enough muscle to benefit from it? Don't run in much mud here either. I am looking at installing BPS exhaust and a single mikuni carb kit, will that help?
