I am running a 36 PD that has 50 hours on it. At about 40 hours I was on a trip and while I was driving in open water the motor just lost power and started making this loud popping noise. After I would let it rest for 15 to 20 minutes i could go again for about 3 or 4 minutes then the same thing would happen. Right before this happened some water splashed into the boat. I dont know if that has anything to do with the problem but it might. I took the motor home changed out the spark plugs and fuel filter and it ran fine. Now I'm at 50 hours and it did the same thing again. This time it also had water in the boat. When I got it home this time I changed the whole fuel line from the gas tank to the fuel filter and the fuel filter itself. Took it out yesterday and it seemed to run fine. I'm just wondering what do yall think is causing this if this happens again so I can be prepared while I'm on the water. Any help is appreciated.
