Is it worth doing just the carb and exhaust? Im running at 4300ft of elevation and hoping to jet the mukuni to run a little better at this elevation. So im wondering what kind of gains to expect? Thanks for the help!

Most recognizable gains will be in throttle response. Even at altitude with the right jetting you should see a quicker response to the throttle and a more even acceleration throughout the hole shot to get on step. You are improving your air flow. If you checkout the posts by DeadBird8 to see his modification to the stock intake manifold you will see another low-no cost mod that will also help to modify your overall airflow. Kind of a Poor Mans Tuned Intake Manifold. Good Luck.

35 Vanguard engine on a dyno.
Here are the results of adding a single carb kit.
These are the Averages

Here is a stock 35 before the carb:

Engine RPM= 3284 / Torque FT LBS = 51.18 / HEAD TEMP = 1309.88 / EXG TEMP = 1213.25 / Obs Tq. = 51.19 / Obs HP = 31.94 / Corr. Tq. = 53.34 / Corr. HP = 33.28

With the single carb :

Engine RPM = 3778 / Torque FT LBS = 52.09 / HEAD TEMP = 1442.15 / EXG TEMP = 1368.35 / Obs Tq. = 52.09 / Obs HP = 37.04 / Corr. Tq. = 54.46 / Corr. HP = 38.72

Peak stock HP was 37.53 HP @ 3775 RPM

Peak with the Single Carb was 43.88 HP @ 4376 RPM

Don't take this wrong, but isn't Mudbuddy selling the carb kit for $695 and the crossover exhuast on sale for $399. So a total of $1094. Are you offering something more with your kit? Free shipping? Just trying to find the best deal.

Does the electronic spark advance built into the marine engines coils change these numbers?
