Re: 17/54 Gatortail Extreme that slides.
So now rigging a boat has to do with it sliding. Just so I understand correctly. Rigging is the process of hooking up the fuel line and tank, steering, lights, paint, throttle, batteries, hanging motor, and laying turf. Seriously. Yes I understand weight can be moved around inside of the hull to make it perform different. The boat will do exactly what you described Delta, it just took some 1x1.5 tubing in order for it to do so. Wish I could say I just made all of this up, but that is not the case. Carry on.

Re: 17/54 Gatortail Extreme that slides.
Alright Delta, let's make it public. They gave me the option to bring the entire rig back, in which I declined. I had about $4000 tied up into the rig that I was not willing to loose. After a few days passed I thought about it and decided to sacrifice the paint and turf and completely strip everything off the hull and return it. I called spoke with someone and I was informed that was not an option. When asked why not, I received the answer of "what am I going to do with a used boat". So you tell me does that sound right. I bring back a fully rigged boat sacrifice my time and money and call it good. I don't think so. I wanted to keep everything and give them the option to replace the hul, which was the problem. So I had it fixed and sold it. I was lied too, even the slogan on the site stated that the extremes turned like a round chine. Have you checked the new slogan lately. I"ll help you, it no longer says anything about round chines. I was guaranteed that the boat would not slide, which was a lie in this case. Anything else I can handle for you.

Delta, you are to funny! You made an accusation and have nothing to back it up! I'm not sticking up for anybody, just pointing out the obvious. If you pick out a hull with alot more options, yes weedjumper, it does cost more. All of these boats will slide if you want them to and I don't think anything is wrong with the boat in question.

Re: 17/54 Gatortail Extreme that slides.
Of course it slides. Don't complain about it, Learn how to make it work for you.
Way to spend a ton of money on a beautiful rig and not understand what you are buying.
My next rig will be 3/16 smooth bottom at least 60" wide. Bring on the slide, I'll deal with it.

Re: 17/54 Gatortail Extreme that slides.
The biggest thing that you guys are failing to get is that he was sold this boat with the promise that it would turn like his round chine boat did. It did not meet the expectations that he had and he was not happy with the hull so he sold it. I agree that he could have gotten used to it and would have eventually been happy with it, but that isn't what he wanted. He wanted a boat that turned like his old boat, and this boat failed to do so. End of story, it's sold, and now he's getting what he wanted in the first place.
