Post Re: Boat plowing
Hard to tell. I would cut from the rear of the pod, and maybe leave 12" of Pod remaining. If you find that's too much you can always add small trim tabs. You might get it right the first time but its hit or miss. I though about pods for my boat but opted for just adjustable trim tabs and glad I did. I toyed with the idea of making an adjustable pod but too many engineering variables with that.

Here is an idea: put a 40 tiller on that boat and get a 18x40 for the 23

a quick video from the drivers seat of the water coming off the pods and the trim angle. does everything look ok? I checked my angles on the rake at the bow and the angle coming off the pods and it seems to be proper. best guess is that it's just too long of a pod or too much flotation overall. after watching other videos of boats truly plowing, mine doesn't seem so bad. i may just be losing more speed than i expect to with minimal weight shift. also, i really thought adding the IM heads and other small mods would have a greater effect on the overall performance, especially with a load. I guess i should have just bit he bullet and started with a 35.
