Best Hull/MM combo opinions wanted

 Best Hull/MM combo opinions wanted My normal load is 2-4 guys, dogs, gear, and dekes. Normal run is 1-5miles of primarily open lake, but actual hunting areas are backwater mud and a few stumps and an occasional granite chunk. Most of our hunting is currently done with an outboard, but we are thinking of swapping over as lake conditions are gettting lower and muddier every season. Just looking for some opinions from current and former owners on what to avoid before making the investment. I have looked at Gator trax, Beavertail, Gator tail, Excel, and phowler. ANd quite honestly, don't know what I really need. Thanks for the insight for a new member.

Re: Best Hull/MM combo opinions wanted I have a Gator Trax 1750 with the hunt deck with a Mud Buddy 5500 Black Death and I think it's a great combo. With the hunt deck its about 18.5 ft overall and with 4 guys and a hunting load I can still move along at about 25 mph. 2 guys and a hunting load, I'm at 28 - 30 mph depending on conditions.
I wouldn't get anything smaller than 17ft, that's for sure and if you're going to carry a big load like that, don't get anything smaller than a 48" bottom too.
