Anybody ever seen the old cartoons where the dog gets hit on the head with a skillet and it leaves the outline of his head in the dent?

That is what happens when you break over a 2' beaver dam with a .080 hull and land square on a stump level with the water on the other side. :?

Lol that sucks. I did the same thing last year in almost the same boat, had a 23 longtail on a 15x42 hull thats as thin as a a coke cans metal, launched over this beaver damn and SMACK right into a stump that was about half a foot out the water. Threw me from the back all the way to the front and out the damn boat breaking my homemade grab bar bolted through one of the ribs. Wasn't a very fun experience. I barely remember it I was a bit concust after all of that mayhem lmao

dude, just this weekend for opener. i was cruisin along through a corner near the bank of cattails and came to a screaching hault, on top of a sharp rock, dog went into the water and i end up in the front of the boat. had a small leak through the morning of the hunt. got back to the landing and what i saw really sucked. about a two foot gash down the middle of the boat and it ran across the rib bracing. thats where it grabbed and put two nice holes through. :x

Speaking of throwing the dogs out... Last year was hunting a lake full of stumps, but was In a creek channel, so I opened up a little. Dog was standing on the front deck and out of nowhere POW, hit a stump, and launched the dog atleast 6ft in the air. Needless to say, she finds the floor of the boat a little more comfy now

i know, right? dont understand why they like to be right up front with their toenails hangin over. i couldnt tell you how many times she has slipped and almost gone in or actually fell in. but i tell you one thing is for sure, the whole damn marsh can hear me laughin when it does happen. (when its her own fault of course)

You haven't laughed until you watch a dog get catapulted 6th over the boat. The look on her face after was priceless

She flew at an angle to the right, and even still I was still worried. Once I saw her swimming back towards the boat with eyes as big as plates I fell on the floor I laughed so hard

My dog does the same thing in the boat and the back of the truck on the toolbox. I think she likes to see how much of her toenails she can hang off. She fell off on a back road going about 25mph and still gets up there. Crazy Weimaraner.

I ran over my 3 yr old blck lab bitch in Buras, LA last year in no more than a ft of water. Running a canal and a cripple grey came up just in front of the boat and immediately dove. She was laying on the front deck and saw the duck and left the boat straight over the bow. I was on step but luckily saw the duck to as I was standing. I was trying to lift the motor as the skeg hit her and hard. I was cussing the whole time and saw her pop up about 15 yrds behind the boat as I was already turning around. She just starts swimming around looking for the f*ckin duck like nothing happened. That my boys is focus!
Lucky bitch.

My parents have a neighbor that had a black lab that rode in his truck everywhere. Most of the time he was standing on the toolbox looking over the truck but it wasn't uncommon to see him coming through town with the dog standing on top of the cab.

Taught my dog when he was a puppy to ride on the bottom of the boat. Same with the truck, dog won't even put his paws on the side rail.

hell the dogs all learned to ride in the bed of a flat bed, guess they had some sticky paws all them years.

I'm with ya QC. Teach your dog well and your have less to worry about. I have way to much time, sweat and money, Not to mention the love he brings to my family, to let some stump empale him caused by my carelessness. I owe that to him.
