| Post subject: | Movable Boat Seat Source? |
I'm rigging up a hunting boat and don't want any permanent seats in it. I am looking for a source for a stable hunting seat. I saw one somewhere a few months ago that had four legs with rubber feet and a swivel seat. The legs were wide, seat was really stable. I think they would work great for what I need but can't seem to find them anywhere. Suggestions of where I might find such a base or suggestions of other movable seating options that people have used would be appreciated! |

Just a thought, removeable bench, kind of like what gator trax has where it drops in and out, i'm sure you could reverse engineer it or find something that drops long ways rather than across. However, this might be one of those situations where the nice chairback dove bucket/box is your best bet. Good luck. |

Phowler offers a variety of moveable boxes that serve as seating. You can install riv-nuts in the floor and fasten the boxes wherever you want them, and move them whenever you want. |

I couldn't find anything called a Spider Chair but I found this one; http://www.cabelas.com/product/Boating/ ... t104492880 Anybody have experience with this particular model? It looks similar, but the base I saw was chrome plated and looked to have a wider stance as well as thicker rubber on the feet. |

Also, you can get a fab shop to make you some aluminum bases at whatever size you want, then put a pedestal base in the top. Seems like I've seen some like that come from the Gatortail shop. |

I have the bird & buck seats. They have a liner to use as a cooler or put shells and gear in the bucket. Swivel and back makes them fairly comfortable. I use them dove hunting or to hunt on the bank. |

get one of the custom builders to build you a hunt seat base like this..... 2 or 3 of the bases can be spread out among shooting lanes, cover, etc.... can hunt em in the water or the boat and have storage underneath. |

I got one of those and only use it when I bring my 73 year old father in law fishing or hunting. He loves it. |

I use some camo folding Directors Chairs like these from Academy. $30.00 each and can fold them up out of the way. Use them out of the boat to hunt also. http://www.basspro.com/RedHead-Fold-Up- ... tname_link |

T-B, you may have the same problem I do w/ a little round bucket... Ass is too big for the round top bucket. As you get older you are gonna need a back rest too. Trust me. |

Cabelas and Bass pro sell these bases. They used to carry just the bases separate. We just bolt a seat post base to them. It looks like they only carry the ones with the seat attached now. Its the same one you guys put a link to above. Works great. |
