Had 35 hp gator-tail short installled today. I am running a 1654 gator-tail boat short trans. went test it out running 27.7-28.3 depth water just me light load. does this sound about right?

It's set in the middle hole. I need to do a little skeg adjustment pulling to the left.

Went run it today for lunch with 2 people 210 & 240 lbs got the same speeds

One thing I found over the years are Sd mm are more sensitive to wAter condition wind and current! Maybe I just never noticed it in outboards but do I'm my gt!! You might run one place and hit 28 then turn a corner and run 31 !!

Before adjusting skeg make sure the boat is 100% balanced. I run my motor in the top hole.
