Any imput on custom builders. im wanting a 15/50 with a hunt deck similar to the gator trax. had breaux brothers recommended to me. who knows about them or can recommend another good builder.

I'll throw my vote in for Uncle J. He built my rig, and I love it.

I would say talk to all of them, look at what they have built and go from there. You really don't want to make your decision based on what a bunch of keyboard ninjas tell you!!

Just a FYI and question since everyone knows everyone else's business......

Last year we made over 80 boats. Out of the 80 boats, we had 2 or 3 that had a minor issue. We took care of it in the most timely manner and made sure that the customer was 100% satisfied..

If I am missing something, would someone please come forth. I hear negative from people that don't own a uncle j boat.

When will these so called unhappy cracked leaky boat owners come out??

Nothing but compliments on my rig either. Same goes for the other 4 of my buddies with Uncle J boats. And to my knowledge, none of them have any leaks.

If I can't break it. It can't be broken. Only thing I have broken is my grab bar. I am kinda scared to get it beefed up cause I think it's gonna start breaking my ribs

Hey swamp rat i drove 16 hours for my uncle j boat and it was worth every damn minute of the boats are bad ass it took jason no time to build mine and for a great price i have a 18 54 and with me at 6 8 and 350 lbs and two other guys and all decoys guns and a dog i got 33 mph out of my boat these boats just down right bad ass and tough as hell i guarantee it

Okay ya'll asked for it!!!! I have one of the cracked uncle J boats in question. It has been welded twice on the transom/ huntdeck area of the boat. As it was explained to me, my boat was built by a person who worked for jason for a short time and NO LONGER works for him due to inferior welding practices. It seems every boat this so called "king of welders" built has the same problems. There are people on this site who also have boats built by the same guy while he was working for himself who have the SAME problems I am having but will never come forward. Why , who knows ?? I will never understand it. I'm the type who calls a spade a spade and I can tell all the uncle J haters one thing right here right now, JASON is building me another complete rig, free of charge, exactly like my old one. Did I have to threaten him, no. Did he argue and say it must have been the way I treated the boat, no. His exact words where, "man there is no reason u deserve to be going through this". "This is not how I do buisiness and I will take care of it 100%" So all of the uncle j naysayers out there can chew on that a lil while. The man builds a great product and stands behind them as he says he will, end of story.

I've read nothing but good things about J's boats, except for the remarks on this thread, but I've gotta get in a plug for my guys at Phowler.

I'm no hardcore, LA stump jumper, but I've been very pleased with my Phowler. The boat is tough, stable, and amazingly nimble, considering its size and power. I also enjoyed working with Bubba, Paul, and Bob to get my rig set up to my specifications. When my first rig was wrecked on my way home from the factory, these guys bent over backwards to build me another boat fast, before our season opened. FWIW, you've got two Phowler dealers down there in your neck of the woods.

I have a "looks like shit" uncle j hull.i sometimes get aggrivated when im in a hurry at the launch and everybody wants to know all the damn lil details about that"nice freakin boat man".same thing at the pumps,look up and theres 3 or 4 people wit their elbows on the rail just looking bow to stern,nodding their heads up and down....creepy bastards.not just talkin bout a few times either,every fukin time,it never fails.i even got my lil boy answering questions,hes heard em soo many times.you try not to be an ass about it but the shit gets old!
