 Boat hide/slip ideas
Any ideas or input on making a boat slip? My blind is gonna be on top of a levee , I have a spot where I'm gonna put the slip just thought maybe someone had some useful tips, I was just gonna take 6 landscape timbers drive them in the mud around the boat put 2x4s across the top chicken wire all around and grad the piss out of it. Maybe someone has an easier way.

Salt grass, 3ft shitty stuff to pile on top. Ill prolly have to go hack dome roseaux down somewhere close, but I mean the overall construction, think it'll last a while or not?

Yer construction 'll last fer the year. If ya leave it all there by next year you'll have some good up keep. Round here ice 'll kill anything and really F it up, I'm guessin ya aint got that prob?

 Re: Boat hide/slip ideas
How far are you hunting from the boat?
I dunno how long the landscaping posts will last, but the design itself is good. Ive hunted a blind built like that that has been out there as long as i can remember.

 Re: Boat hide/slip ideas
It'll be about 75 yards from the blind, next to the levy to kinda make it blend in. And no we don't have an ice problem, I'm about a mile from the gulf, in grand chenier.

 Re: Boat hide/slip ideas
We sink square hay bales in the water and drive PVC pipes through them to keep them in place. Then stick cattails and reeds in them. They will start growing in them and take it over in a few years. Always worked good for us over here in south MS.
