Post subject:	16x50 PolarCraft What Motor?
I have a 16x50 PolarCraft.I'm wanting to put a surface drive on.I have no clue where to begin.So I would appreciate all the info I can get.This boat is going to be used mainly to duck hunt with.Will my boat even be suitable for a surface drive?What HP will I need to push the boat with gear and 2 men?Thanks in advance, and I apologize for any ignorant questions I may ask.

I have a friend that has same size boat and he has a 27 GD but if it was me I'd go wit a 35. Go big or go home Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I ran an Alumacraft Waterfowler (16 X 50) for a couple years with a 36PD, it ran pretty damn good, but that transom definately did not like what was sitting on it. Way too much weight for a non-braced transom...

I had a 16' Polar Kraft and it was all my 48 Evinrude wanted. 31 on the GPS. I would def go big HP on it.
