Re: New boat. Lost plastic wing nut that holds air filter cover on. Don't know what happened I guess it wasn't tight. Gonna try to get a lock nut and a big fender washer to get me thru the weekend.

Re: New boat. just incase you man not be aware and once you have already lost a pretty common part. Go double check your crankcase bolts and make sure they are 200inlbs if you dont have torque wrench make sure they are pretty tight nothing crazy. i checked mine before my boat hit the water and 4 of them were loose.
its a good idea to randomly check these bolts as well as the air filter cover nut bc they are known for being loose
