Anyone have any experience with Bust'em boat blinds? http://bustemboatblinds.com/

I'm going to order one... figured I'd ask before I ordered it and made the trip there to drop off the boat.

Take a look at these http://www.skybusterblinds.com. They travel well and make a good hide for the areas we hunt.

Out of Missouri.

Its only 2/3 of the price of the last custom blind I had built. I thought the price was great.

170 lbs. It will be on a boat that doesn't have an engine.

It will be anchored most of the time in the middle of a marsh but needs to be moved before ice out. Weight makes it not much of an option for a daily boat blind.

you spent $1752 on your last custom blind??? good lord where are you buying materials from?[/quote]

The last custom blind (PopUP brand from IWS) was purchased in 2003 and was $2,300ish. Its been modified to be used on 3 boats since then. It has been used hard, but easily has another 13 years in it. Its windproof, waterproof, 14 foot shooting compartment, spring loaded, has a welded steel tubing frame, made of heavy Cordura, weighs 65ish lbs, and has never had on minute of maintenance other than bungees replaced. Pretty cheap if you figure it as an annual cost.

I've thought about buying an old Jon boat on Craigslist. Flip it upside down on top of my boat and just cut out shooting holes halfway up the side and to the middle. You take all the bench seats and flotation out and I bet it won't weigh 100#. I see them on there all the time for $150-$250.
