Had a G3 1860 tunnel with pods and 90 Yamaha with hydrolic Jack plate - would
run all day in 4" water and if soft bottomed could get up in 5" to 6" if you started
by running in a tight circle....

Tunnels work better on bigger hulls with bigger engines than they do on small ones....

Had a buddy with a 2272 with pods and 175 Yamaha that would run shallower and
get up in less water than mine would....

However tunnel hulls and MMs don't work together worth a darn.....

If you are going to have a tunnel i wouldn't put a jackplate on it

Jack plate will preform better in the long run. Just put all your weight up front to compensate for the minor squatting
