Best thing about a flip blind is it is out of the way when picking up decoys from the boat. It also will not cause you to be pushed around a lot in high winds when picking up or running. Fixed blind is good because it is easier to build shelves, lights, and warmth. Have had two fixed blinds and three flip blinds. Like the flips more, but will probably go with no blind this year and just wade or sit on the bank. |

I've had both and like both. However, for my mud motor rig I'll stay with a collapsible blind to keep weight down. It also is nicer to trailer. With a big outboard, I'd go with a hardsided blind because its a little better for keeping warm in extreme cold. |

Flip blind, quick and lighter. Can't stand runnin the boat with a hard side blind er towin it fer that matter, damn grass blowin off and wreckin it goin down the road. I modified my beavertail blind and it works as a quick flip top and covers better than any hard blind I've seen. Takes bout 2 minutes ta setup solo. |
