Post subject:  Thinking of having a boat built

Just started looking around trying to see if there is something that fits the bill.

I have been in a few flat bottom rigs when I was in FL and was impressed. We have ran long tails here in Ohio but really lack on the speed side for long runs. I'm trying to find a hull that will not beat the snot out of us in a 2-3 foot chop if we get caught across the bay.

We have a few deep V but lack the ability to get back into some of the areas or chance getting caught of the water blows out.

Does anyone have recommendations that carry a load well, handles a chop while still running through shallows. Want to stay with a 18 ft max and wide enough to do a low profile recliner blind similar to the delta zero gravity blind.
