gatortail 1648 vs 1748
Contemplating getting another surface drive rig. I hunt in the woods mostly and very very rarely more than one other person with me. Thinking pointed bow and half box seat in rear, drop deck and a 35 on the back. I like stuff simple. I had a 1748 prodrive rig that was a tank, but that prodrive beat me to death in the stumps. any of ya'll run either of these two boats

Get the 1748. The 35 is a lot of weight on the back of a 16. I know a lot of people may run them but you will like the 17 better.

17 will haul a load and distribute the weight better. I run a prodrive in the timber and agree it can be rough.

You could spend $1500 on a floating handle for your Prodrive. The same thing that comes standard on every other mud motor brand.
