I recently purchased a Gatortail 16x48 with a 25 and very quickly realized I need some Hydro turf to make the deck bearable during southeast Texas summers. It has brown paint and a gritty nonskid finish on the deck and I'm curious how this will affect the adherence of the Hydro turf to the deck. I'm also undecided on the adhesive backed mats or the self applied adhesive, so any advice would be greatly appreciated. |

I put the adhesive backed hydroturf in my new Godevil boat with a painted surface with non skid grit and it has done fine. I paid a little more for the adhesive backed based on ease of installation and the hydroturf people sold me on its effectiveness and durability. At that time (fall 2017) the most durable turf as far as UV resistant could only be purchased in camo patterns from BFC Marine - GatorTrax. |

Call hydro turf to get the correct product and see if maybe they will sell it to you. It was only available in large sheets when I bought mine. I bought 6 sheets as I recall but only used 4 for a 20x60 boat. |

The Grey B diamond pattern in my hull has been there since 2010 with no issues. Installed it with weldwood contact cement as recommended by hydro-turf. Boat sits outside all year long with no UV problems. |

I got the diamond mold on mine as well. Got the self adhesive one and didn't put anything else on it. It came out perfect and has lasted a long time with no problems. |
