Anyone run a stumpjumper? I like the layout but can't really find any reviews. Probably a tank being a 3/16 hull. Would appreciate any info

Looking at a 1854 with catwalks, half box, and a gtr40 efi. Trying to figure ball park performance before I pull the trigger

Might want to talk to the guy a few posts back about his fun times dealing with them...

10-4. I skimmed through that but must have read over where it mentioned them. Thanks

They are sweet looking boats, but are slower than most. Even the dealer told me they were “overbuilt” making them heavy and slow. I don’t know, I didn’t run one. And like already stated, look around here. Not the greatest experiences with them

They may build a good boat, or not, but the guy fairly recently having to send them 16k just to get them to build it, then they took way past what they told him would be time. There are probably plenty of people happy with their sj boats (or maybe not, dunno), but one bad experience, even if he gets his boat and is happy in the end, is enough to make me steer clear when there are enough other good builders out there that dont ask for as much deposit and deliver on time agreed up front. You can get a 3/16th just like what you're wanting from them from plenty other sources, some cheaper than others.

Thanks for the help. I'll pursue other options

Btw, an 1854 is a good all around size for a stock surface drive. Mods only make it go faster.

I got my Boat and I am very happy with it. You have all kinds of options and the Boat I bought is over built because I ordered it that way. I did not want dented bottoms and things breaking. Right now I can not tell you how fast it runs. I have not had it in the water yet. Workmanship was great and my build was exactly what you described only I wanted the Extra Thick hull. I ordered extra chairs Dry Storage and a Live Well for fishing.
