Seems like a good idea to me. Not much to lose at that price |

I took a PVC gutter, cut it in half, then put over my existing carpeted bunks. It’s hideous, cheap and works good. viewtopic.php?t=67429 |

I had treated boards with factory plastic covers and noticed some hull pitting and discoloration where the seams in the plastic were. I took off the plastic covers and added 1x PVC (counter sunk screws and glues it down as well) and then put the the plastic back on top. It's been great for the last 5 years. |

Incase anyone decides the gutter method is more their style - almost 2 years later they are holding up great. I used SS fasteners and did it at the ramp before I put my boat back on the trailer. Took 5 minutes. |

I used the white PVC fence posts and split them. They have one that a 4x4 fits in so that should work for ya |
