Looking at a boat that is for a short transom motor, what is involved in building it up for a tall transom motor? Is it something that will hold up to a mud motor? |

Yep.. find a welder who works on boats and he’s prolly done it before. I did mine, cost $150 to raise it. Gator trax will do it also for people who need high transom for outboard Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

I don't have any boat builders close to me, but I have some places that could weld it. Anyone have any pictures of one that has been done? What should I get them to use to raise it? |

Kirk, I guess your guy cut out a piece of the transom and welded in a new plate as opposed to just leaving transom in tact and welding on additional height? |

I think he basically just sandwiched the old transom with 2 thicker aluminum plates . The added height section is hollow I imagine Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |
