Post Beavertail Blind on Excel 1651 SWV4
Has any put a beavertail blind on an excel 1651 SWV4, mine is a 2016 model and narrows toward the bow with the grab bars. Rail to rail it is 68" in the back and 53" in the front. I am curious how they fit. Can the outside support bars be cut down in the front for a trim fit to the rails and a tight fit on the cover? Does anyone have any experience with this? Can you get the clamp bars under the grab bars on the boat? Does anyone have a better suggestion for a removable blind?

Pictures if you have them would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

I have the 18 Excel F84 and an 1800 beavertail. I had to trim the rubber foot pads on the front to get the front of the blind narrow enough to snug to the rails. Its still a little loose but I dont worry about it since the bars hold down the blind from moving too much.

The clamp bars can slide under the hand rails but need to be fully removed to get the blind off the boat. No big deal. Overall I love the boat and the blind. Its not the best fit but works good enough for me. Much better than my old Avery Quickset.
